Keeping McLean County Safe

I am a 16 year veteran of the McLean County Sheriff’s Office with a passion for keeping ALL people living and working in this county safe. I’m both excited and honored to have this potential opportunity, should the voters make it so, to be the next Sheriff of McLean County. It’s a responsibility that I take a lot of pride knowing that few people get to do a job like this.

I completed my basic law enforcement training at the Illinois State Police Academy, hold a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, and am a graduate of Northwestern University’s Center for Public Safety, School of Police Staff and Command.

My Priorities As Your Next Sheriff

With your support, I want to initially focus on these main themes or pillars during my tenure.

Enhance Community Safety Through Proactive Strategies

Enhance proactive patrol and investigative efforts, focusing on thwarting impaired driving and keeping our kids safe by targeting internet crimes against children and continuing to focus on school response training with strong partnerships with area schools to ensure the safety of children and staff.

Invest in Technology For Investigative Efficiency

Invest in advanced technology, tools, and updated processes to improve accuracy, efficiency, and transparency of our work. Explore new specialized roles, like Intelligence Analysts, to better address evolving crime trends, especially cybercrime.

Invest In People: Training, Development, and Retention

Prioritize professional growth for all MCSO personnel. Strengthen employee retention and recruiting strategies to keep MCSO a safe, supportive, and rewarding place to work. Partner with the McLean County Board and the community on mental health strategies.
